I am using this page to try to document some information that I think will be helpful for the rollout of our new iPads. I hope that everyone will read this and add information and suggestions and make edits.

How do we articulate the goals of this project?

Training:
Students and teachers must have training before using them.

Loaner program for teachers first
two weeks?

summer training - teachers take home for 2 weeks after the class.

Students:
No food/drinks near iPads
IPad stays on desk – students move to iPad
Carry with two hands
The iPad screen is fragile
Don’t lean on the iPad
Don’t place anything on/near the iPad that could put pressure on the screen
Don’t bump the iPad against walls, doors, lockers etc

Teachers:
iPads counted and cart must be locked when not in use
Make sure all iPads are plugged in so they will charge and update
sign out sheet on cart so we know which students have used which iPads

LanSchool iPad application shoots out, sends back test questions.

The testing feature enables teachers to send tests of up to 100 questions to students who are running the LanSchool iPad Student application; from there, the test results can be shot back and displayed in real time on the teacher's console and come back graded with the ability to export or print the results.
